程砚秋先生是中国京剧鼎盛时期的一位卓有成就的旦行青衣表演艺术家,尤以创立别具一格的\"程派\"唱腔为世人称道.程先生在多当年的演艺实践中,塑造了一批个性鲜明的妇女形象,这些女性角色娴静善良而又坚韧顽强,在苦难的生活中从不屈服,虽然大多以悲剧命运告终,但是她们高尚的气节和情操,给观众留下的深刻的印象.因为程砚秋先生以塑造悲苦妇女的形象见长,所以,我认为程砚秋先生亦可称为京剧\"悲旦\".本书的研究也正是围绕着这一核心论点运用民族音乐学的理论方法进行论述的 本书运用民族音乐学的理论方法,对程砚秋先生塑造的京剧\"悲旦\"唱腔进行论述.内容包括:程砚秋先生的从艺经历,京剧唱腔字声音韵与京剧\"程派\"代表唱段探究,评剧\"程砚秋\"与豫剧\"程砚秋\"代表唱段探究,\"程砚秋\"的戏曲文化涵义与名家流派功用探究等
