This third edition of a well-respected standard work includes the amendments to the International Rules and Annexes and the Inland Annexes effective in November 1989, as well as the 1991 changes to the Inland Rules. The book's approach to this complex topic is simple enough for the boater or recreational sailor, and technical enough for the professional who has to deal with Coast Guard license examinations.
The International and Inland Rules are shown side by side in order to highlight the differences and similarities between the two sets of rules. As an aid to those professionals who will be taking the Coast Guard examinations, the new edition includes 150 Coast Guard questions relating to the rules of the road as well as a suggested method of study.
