Los tres entienden y viven el abandono de distinta forma: la nina se aferra a la esperanza de que, cuando acabe la guerra, todo volvera a ser como antes. Isidro, aun sabiendo que se equivoca, se obstina en el odio hacia los que dice que se llevaron a sus padres. Ventura acaricia la idea de tener una familia.
