This volume includes data from surveys and excavations, in addition to the analysis of unpublished materials preserved in local museums. The map 1 shows the amplitude of the views presented here. The publishers have had a particular care to stimulate and organize the contributions according to a geographical criterion that includes the whole of Asia Minor, from the west coast to the central and northern part, up to the east. The same attention has been careful to include topics of the different periods, from the Neolithic to the modern age (19th century). Of course some contributions are focused specially in some specific areas. This book contains papers in English and some papers in German with English abstracts.
