The issues of B2B management and B2B marketing are becoming of increasing interest to business scholars and practitioners. This book is the first publication dedicated solely to the connection between relationship marketing management and trade fair activity management, two essential marketing concepts. It investigates the role of trade fairs with regard to B2B relationship marketing management in the era of the world economic crisis using the example of the retail real estate industry. A vital issue tackled in this book refers to the exploration of the characteristics of retail real estate trade fairs from the perspective of creating conditions favourable for developing business relationships. The book begins by presenting the issue of contemporary retail real estate trade fairs and the methods of researching into the marketing activity of exhibitors. It then uses a four-stage primary research method to propose a model of managing retail real estate trade fair participants'relationships with customers and other trade fair participants. The results of this study are then used to present the issue of trade fair activity management in a project life cycle, before the book goes on to explore the general problem of relationship marketing management in B2B services. In addition, it also discusses marketing activities participated in during trade fairs, such as experiential marketing and a trade fair conversation. As such, the book provides an extensive perspective on the researched phenomenon, and its findings will also be useful in other industries.

"All I Needed to Know in Life I Learned Selling Door to Door" is a book that has clearly 'walked the walked.' The author, a native of Illinois, and earned his college degree from Northwestern University and in his book he retells working his way through college selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door. Much late, Mr. Grottke became a Certified Public Accountant and is currently the Chief Financial Officer of an international food retailing group that licenses and franchises food stores in over 30 countries around the world. But, what readied him for this latest big job of his, he learned at the young age and in his door-to-door experiences. The book is packed with lesson after lesson and one comes away from reading this title feeling motivated and ready to take on the world. Door-to-door direct selling is not a common employment in today's high-tech world, but the heart of his lessons are simple and now hard wired --- nothing is better than face-to-face interactions because it's impossible to email a handshake or deliver a smile via text messaging. Liliana Doganova's book sheds new light on this anxious query. It argues that our relationship to the future has been trapped in the gears of a device called discounting . While its incidence remains little known, discounting has long been entrenched in market and policy practices, shaping the ways firms and governments look to the future and make decisions accordingly. Thus, a sociological account of discounting formulas has become urgent. Discounting means valuing things through the flows of costs and benefits that they are likely to generate in the future, with these future flows being literally dis -counted as they are translated in the present. How have we come to think of the future, and of valuation, in such terms? Building on original empirical research in the historical sociology of discounting, Doganova takes us to some of the sites and moments in which discounting took shape and gained momentum: valuation of European forests in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries; economic theories devised in the early 1900s; debates over business strategies in the postwar era; investor-state disputes over the nationalization of natural resources; and drug development in the biopharmaceutical industry today. Weaving these threads together, the book pleads for an understanding of discounting as a political technology, and of the future as a contested domain.

The purpose of this book is to investigate gender diversity practices and discourse developed by listed companies in Turkey. It pursues this aim by advancing knowledge about business relations affecting workplace gender diversity. The research builds on Bourdieu’s field approach and implements a Thematic Analysis following Braun and Clarke’s (2006) guidelines. The findings of the book are based on data collected from unstructured interviews and secondary sources such as the official documents of national and international organizations, newspapers, legislation, and web pages of the related parties. The findings suggest that the implementation of gender diversity practices may require a transformation of perspective and the conditions regarding the political, economic, and cultural realm for realization of a pervasive movement. Due to the conservative and patriarchal culture, authoritarian rule and neoliberal policies, gender diversity and inclusion are not seen as issues that should be resolved through the commitment and collaboration of a field. Consequently, diversity management practices are instrumentalized by the business community as a means for corporate communication and image building rather than actively building a diverse workforce.

Despite much learning and research over many decades, large ICT software projects have continued to experience poor outcomes or fallen short of original expectations—some spectacularly so. This is the case in the Australian and New Zealand public sectors, even though these projects operate within historically developed institutional frameworks that provide the rules, guidelines and controls, and aim to consistently improve outcomes.-Something is amiss. In Adapting for Inertia, Grant Douglas questions the effectiveness of these institutional frameworks in governing large ICT software projects in the Australian and New Zealand public sectors. He also gauges the perspectives of a large number of actors in projects in both sectors and examines two case studies in detail.The main narrative to emerge is that the institutional frameworks are in a state of inertia: they are failing to adapt, owing to various institutional factors—all of which have public policy implications. Sadly, Douglas finds, this inertia is likely to continue. If there is difficulty in changing the capacity to govern, he proposes, policymakers should look to change the nature of what is to be governed.
