nexusstc/The Ethics of Care: the State of the Art/ec3870759f5cb9bff2645c6d8f3caf1e.pdf
<The> ethics of care: the state of the art Frans Vosman (editor), Andries Baart (editor), Jaco Hoffman (editor) Peeters Publishers & Booksellers, Feb 19, 2020
The ethics of care, developed in early 1980s within feminism as a critique on the biases of neokantian ethics, is 40 years old. This book presents its key insights, the developments and debates over the years and the challenges care ethics faces. Internationally renown scholars from various continents have contributed, a clear sign that care ethics has spread over the globe. The key insights regard issues close by, care from person to person, but also at an institutional level and questions of global impact. Vulnerability and relationality are examples of these insights. What can caring practices, ranging from social welfare to palliative care, learn from care ethics? Has care ethics had an impact on ethics at large and what is its future?"-- Información de la editorial

Ageing In Sub-saharan Africa: Spaces And Practices Of Care (ageing In A Global Context) Jaco Hoffman (editor); Katrien Pype (editor) Bristol University Press, Ageing in a Global Context, 1, 2016
This collection of in-depth ethnographic analysis examines the impact of local and global transformations on the care, or lack of care, older people receive in Sub-Saharan Africa. This volume provides the pan-African evidence and analysis needed to move forward debates about how to address the long term care needs of this vulnerable population. Case studies from different regions of the continent (southern, central, east and west Africa) examine formal and informal care, including inter- and intra-generational care, retirement homes, care in the context of poverty, HIV/AIDS and migration. This collection of in-depth ethnographic analysis examines the impact of local and global transformations on the care, or lack of care, older people receive in Sub-Saharan Africa. nexusstc/Spatial Justice After Apartheid: Nomos in the Postcolony/1a57c8e5a7a97553bc193637bb9df212.pdf
Spatial Justice After Apartheid : Nomos in the Postcolony Jaco Barnard-Naudé (editor),Julia Chryssostalis (editor) Routledge/Glasshouse, Law and the postcolonial, Abingdon, Oxon, 2022
This book considers the question of spatial justice after apartheid from several disciplinary perspectives – jurisprudence, law, literature, architecture, photography and psychoanalysis are just some of the disciplines engaged here. However, the main theoretical device on which the authors comment is the legacy of what in Carl Schmitt’s terms is __nomos__ as the spatialised normativity of sociality. Each author considers within the practical and theoretical constraints of their topic, the question of what __nomos__ in its modern configuration may or may not contribute to a thinking of spatial justice after apartheid. On the whole, the collection forces a confrontation between law’s spatiality in a “postcolonial” era, on the one hand, and the traumatic legacy of what Paul Gilroy has called the “colonial __nomos__”, on the other hand. In the course of this confrontation, critical questions of continuation, extension, disruption and rewriting are raised and confronted in novel and innovative ways that both challenge Schmitt’s account of __nomos__ and affirm the centrality of the constitutive relation between law and space. The book promises to resituate the trajectory of __nomos__, while considering critical instances through which the spatial legacy of apartheid might at last be overcome. This interdisciplinary book will appeal to scholars of critical legal theory, political philosophy, aesthetics and architecture.

Flirtations : Rhetoric and Aesthetics This Side of Seduction Barbara Natalie Nagel (editor); Lauren Shizuko Stone (editor); Daniel Hoffman-Schwartz (editor) Fordham University Press, Idiom: Inventing Writing Theory, 2020
Flirtations: Rhetoric and Aesthetics This Side of Seduction, opens by asking a fundamental first question: What is flirtation, and how does it differ from seduction? The essays thereby address the under-theorized terrain of flirtation not as a subgenre of seduction but rather as a phenomenon in its own right.

Behind the Masks of Modernism : Global and Transnational Perspectives Andrew Reynolds (editor), Bonnie Roos (editor) University Press of Florida, University Press of Florida, Gainesville, 2016
“A wide-ranging collection that allows the mask—as artifact, metaphor, theatrical costume, fetish, strategy for self-concealment, and treasured cultural object—to clarify modernity’s relationship to history.”—Carrie J. Preston, author of __Modernism’s Mythic Pose: Gender, Genre, Solo Performance__ “Covering an impressive range of geographies, cultures, and time periods, these carefully researched essays explore the fascinating role of masks and masking in mediating the relationship between tradition and modernity in both art and literature.”—Paul Jay, author of __The Humanities “Crisis” and the Future of Literary Studies__ Stretching beyond the Western canon and the literary scope of the field, this volume reconsiders what “modernism” means by exploring numerous local expressions of modernity around the globe. Masks—both literal and metaphorical—play a role in each of these artistic ventures, from Brazilian music to Chinese film to Nigerian masquerade performance. These case studies show how masks enable diverse artists and communities to grapple with deep societal transformations caused by modern transnational forces. The contributors challenge popular assumptions about what modernism looks like and what modernity is.

The EU Under Strain? : Current Crises Shaping European Union Politics Mechthild Roos (editor); Daniel Schade (editor) de Gruyter GmbH, Walter, Europe Under Strain, 1. Auflage, Berlin, 2023
When EU member states signed the Treaty of Lisbon in 2007, they did not anticipate the manifold crises in store for them over the following years. Instead of the intended consolidation of a Union which had just gone through its most profound modernisation and biggest round of enlargements, the EU has since then had to weather a wide range of political, economic, social, legal, health and even military crises with major repercussions within and beyond its own territory. Indeed, this time of polycrisis has induced change on many levels: Across the continent and its many fora of European supra-, trans- and international collaboration, established institutions, rule systems and normative frameworks have been put into question and power balances have been shifting. Against this background, actors from social, political, economic and cultural life have sought new ways to overcome the manifold pressing problems of their time, be it through intensified collaboration or attempts to increasingly resolve issues at the national level. This volume offers a compilation of case studies on EU crisis responses, covering the most impactful of the various crises the EU has had to face in recent years. It provides theoretical and conceptual guidelines for the study of political actors’ responses to crisis at all levels of the EU multilevel governance system and beyond. * An overview of the most important events and developments shaping today’s EU policies and politics * Presentation of a framework for empirical research on the EU, its institutions and policies under crisis conditions and in the face of challenges

Existential Psychology East-West (Volume 1 - Revised and Expanded Edition) Louis Hoffman (Editor), Mark Yang (Editor), Francis Kaklauskas (Editor) University Professors Press, Volume 1 (Revised and Expanded Edition) ed., 2019
Existential Psychology East-Westis a collection of chapters exploring existential psychology in a cross-cultural context. The original version was published in preparation for the First International Conference on Existential Psychology held in Nanjing, China in 2010. This revised and expanded edition includes several updated chapters as well as four new chapters. The book consists of three sections. The first section provides an introduction to existential-humanistic psychotherapy along with a case illustration. Section two contains 13 chapters from Eastern and Western scholars exploring the theory of existential psychology. The third section contains 10 chapters building from Rollo May's work on myth. Each chapter explores the existential themes of a myth embedded within a particular cultural context. The book concludes with an Annotated Bibliography of important works in existential psychology. Existential Psychology East-Westis an important contribution to the field with many influential Eastern and Western scholars including Kirk Schneider, Xuefu Wang, Ilene Serlin, Mark Yang, Ed Mendelowitz, Heyong Shen, Erik Craig, Myrtle Heery, Alan G. Entry Points: The Vera List Center Field Guide on Art and Social Justice No. 1 (Vera List Center Manual on Art and Social Justice) Kuoni, Carin (editor);Haines, Chelsea (editor) Duke University Press Books, The Vera List Center field guide on art and social justice; 1, 2016 jan 22
Providing a lively snapshot of the state of art and social justice today on a global level, Entry Points accompanies the inaugural Vera List Center Prize for Art and Politics, launched at The New School on the occasion of the center’s twentieth anniversary. This book captures some of the most significant worldwide examples of art and social justice and introduces an interested audience of artists, policy makers, scholars, and writers to new ways of thinking about how justice is defined, advanced, and practiced through the arts. In so doing, it assembles some of the latest scholarship in this field while refining our vocabulary for speaking about social justice, social engagement, community enhancement, empowerment, and even art itself.   The book's first half contains three essays by Thomas Keenan, João Ribas, and Sharon Sliwinski that map the field of art and social justice. These essays are accompanied by more than twenty profiles of recent artist projects that consist of brief essays and artist pages. This curated and carefully considered map of artists and projects identifies key moments in art and social justice.   The book's second half consists of an in-depth analysis of Theaster Gates's The Dorchester Projects, which won the inaugural Vera List Prize for Art and Politics. Produced to complement the project’s exhibition at the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center, Parsons School of Design in September 2013, this analysis illuminates Gates's rich, complex, and exemplary work. This section includes an interview between Gates and Vera List Center director Carin Kuoni; essays by Horace D. Ballard Jr., Romi N. Crawford, Shannon Jackson, and Mabel O. Wilson; and a number of responses to The Dorchester Projects by faculty in departments across The New School. Published by Duke University Press and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School

Political Essay on the Kingdom of New Spain, Volume 2: A Critical Edition (Alexander von Humboldt in English) Alexander von Humboldt (editor); Vera M. Kutzinski (editor); Ottmar Ette (editor); Vera M. Kutzinski (editor); Ottmar Ette (editor) The University of Chicago Press, Alexander von Humboldt in English, Chicago, 2020
Volume 2 of this critical edition includes the translation of Volumes 3 and 4 of the second, revised French edition of Alexander von Humboldt’s __Essai politique sur le royaume de de Nouvelle Espagne__ from 1825 to 1827 as well as notes, supplements, indexes, and more. Alexander von Humboldt was the most celebrated modern chronicler of North and South America and the Caribbean, and this translation of his essay on New Spain—the first modern regional economic and political geography—covers his travels across today’s Mexico in 1803–1804. The work canvases natural-scientific and cultural-scientific objects alike, combining the results of fieldwork with archival research and expert testimony. To show how people, plants, animals, goods, and ideas moved across the globe, Humboldt wrote in a variety of styles, bending and reshaping familiar writerly conventions to keep readers attentive to new inputs. Above all, he wanted his readers to be open-minded when confronted with cultural and other differences in the Americas. Fueled by his comparative global perspective on politics, economics, and science, he used his writing to support Latin American independence and condemn slavery and other forms of colonial exploitation. It is these voluminous and innovative writings on the New World that made Humboldt the undisputed father of modern geography, early American studies, transatlantic cultural history, and environmental studies. This two-volume critical edition—the third installment in the Alexander von Humboldt in English series—is based on the full text, including all footnotes, tables, and maps, of the second, revised French edition of __Essai politique sur le royaume de de Nouvelle Espagne__ from 1825 to 1827, which has never been translated into English before. Extensive annotations and full-color atlases are available on the series website.

Fiscal Crises, Liberty, and Representative Government 1450-1789 Philip T. Hoffman (editor); Kathryn Norberg (editor) Stanford University Press, The Making of Modern Freedom, Stanford, CA, 2022
This volume, one of the books in the "Making of Modern Freedom" series, is a collection of essays by eminent historians who explore the relationship between state finance and political development in fifteenth and sixteenth century Europe. They analyze how during this period European states were engaged in nearly continuous warfare and how those warfares produced fiscal crises. As a result, rulers were forced to enter into novel fiscal agreements with their subjects, often providing their subjects more political power, in exchange. The volume begins with two essays on England. David Harris Sacks traces the politics of government finance from the fifteenth century to the eve of the Civil War, and J. R. Jones carries the story forward into the eighteenth century, when representative government was jeopardized by new and powerful financial interests. The third essay, by Augustus J. Veenendaal, Jr., explains why the Netherlands' exceptional ability to raise money by taxes and loans allowed them to wage war without the severe financial difficultes experiencd by other European powers. Two essays on Spain by I. A. A. Thompson follow the changing fortunes of the Cortes of Castile, relating its role to the desperate manipulation of Spanish fiscal policy as it came into conflict with the dearly held liberties of Castilian citizens. The two final essays deal with the consequences of absolutism in France. Philip T. Hoffman details the fiscal effect of noble privileges and explores the political ramifications of the country's repeated financial crises, and Kathryn Norberg explains why the fiscal crisis of 1789 finally brought down the monarchy.

nexusstc/Decolonising the Neoliberal University: Law, Psychoanalysis and the Politics of Student Protest/a0adaf5689d8e3744195ff547841df4d.pdf
Decolonising the neoliberal university : law, psychoanalysis and the politics of student protest Jaco Barnard (editor) Birkbeck Law Press, 1st edition, Abingdon, 2021
Taking the postcolonial – or, more specifically, the post-apartheid – university as its focus, the book takes the violence and the trauma of the global neoliberal hegemony as its central point of reference. Following a primarily psychoanalytic line of enquiry, it engages a range of disciplines – law, philosophy, literature, gender studies, cultural studies and political economy – in order better to understand the conditions of possibility of an emancipatory, or decolonised, higher education. And this in the context of both the inter-generational transmission of the trauma of colonialism, on the one hand, and, on the other, the trauma of neoliberal subjectivity in the postcolonial university. Oriented around an important lecture by Jacqueline Rose, the volume contains contributions from world-renowned authors, such as Judith Butler and Achille Mbembe, as well as numerous legal and other theorists who share their concern with interrogating the contemporary crisis in higher education. This truly interdisciplinary collection will appeal to a wide range of readers right across the humanities, but especially those with substantial interests in the contemporary state of the university, as well as those with theoretical interests in postcolonialism, psychoanalysis, gender studies, cultural studies, jurisprudence and law.

nexusstc/The Transformative Power of Literature and Narrative: Promoting Positive Change/61f5e6cd08c4337ef3bc99d028a7c624.pdf
The transformative power of literature and narrative : promoting positive change : a conceptual volume in honour of Vera Nünning Corinna Assmann (editor), Jan Rupp (editor), Christine Schwanecke (editor) Narr Francke Attempto Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, Mannheimer Beiträge zur Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft, Book 86, 2023
Narrative plays a central role for individual and collective lives - this insight has arguably only grown at a time of multiple social and cultural challenges in the 21st century. The present volume aims to actualize and further substantiate the case for literature and narrative, taking inspiration from Vera Nünning's eminent scholarship over the past decades. Engaging with her formative interdisciplinary work, the volume seeks to explore potentials of change through the transformative power of literature and narrative - to be harnessed by individuals and groups as agents of positive change in today's world. The book is located at the intersection of cognitive and cultural narratology and is concerned with the way literature affects individuals, how it works at an intersubjective level, enabling communication and community, and how it furthers social and cultural change. Geometric Analysis and Computer Graphics: Proceedings of a Workshop held May 23–25, 1988 (Mathematical Sciences Research Institute Publications, 17) Paul Concus (editor), Robert Finn (editor), David A. Hoffman (editor) Springer US, Softcover reprint of the original 1st ed. 1991, 2011
This volume derives from a workshop on differential geometry, calculus of vari ations, and computer graphics at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute in Berkeley, May 23-25, 1988. The meeting was structured around principal lectures given by F. Almgren, M. Callahan, J. Ericksen, G. Francis, R. Gulliver, P. Hanra han, J. Kajiya, K. Polthier, J. Sethian, I. Sterling, E. L. Thomas, and T. Vogel. The divergent backgrounds of these and the many other participants, as reflected in their lectures at the meeting and in their papers presented here, testify to the unifying element of the workshop's central theme. Any such meeting is ultimately dependent for its success on the interest and motivation of its participants. In this respect the present gathering was especially fortunate. The depth and range of the new developments presented in the lectures and also in informal discussion point to scientific and technological frontiers be ing crossed with impressive speed. The present volume is offered as a permanent record for those who were present, and also with a view toward making the material available to a wider audience than were able to attend.

Enhancing Intercultural Communication in Organizations : Insights From Project Advisers Roos Beerkens (editor), Emmanuelle Le Pichon-Vorstman (editor), Roselinde Supheert (editor), Jan Ten Thije (editor) Routledge, Routledge Focus on Communication Studies, 1, 2020
This book provides a qualitative analysis of the process of consultancy, to prove how intercultural communication can solve issues rising from multiculturalism in organizations and policymaking. Experts in intercultural consultancy examine 12 different cases from real situations, focusing on interviews with clients and the way advice is presented and discussed with them, and on collected data and the process by which it is gathered. The book proves how the mechanisms of intercultural communication can be used to foster respectful relationships between people of different cultural and linguistic backgrounds and contribute to the success of the project or organization in question. This book will be a key resource for scholars and students involved in intercultural communication, management, and consultancy, as well as professionals that are confronted in their work with diversity and would like to know more about intercultural consultancy. Political Essay on the Kingdom of New Spain, Volume 1: A Critical Edition (Alexander von Humboldt in English) Alexander von Humboldt (editor); Vera M. Kutzinski (editor); Ottmar Ette (editor); Vera M. Kutzinski (editor); Ottmar Ette (editor) The University of Chicago Press, 1, 20200327
Volume 1 of this critical edition includes a note on the text from the Humboldt in English team, an introduction by editors Vera M. Kutzinski and Ottmar Ette, a preface to the first edition by Alexander von Humboldt, and the translation of Volumes 1 and 2 of Humboldt’s __Essai politique sur le royaume de de Nouvelle Espagne__ from 1825 to 1827.

Sylvester Syropoulos on Politics and Culture in the Fifteenth-Century Mediterranean: Themes and Problems in the Memoirs, Section IV: 16 (Birmingham Byzantine and Ottoman Studies) Fotini Kondyli (editor), Vera Andriopoulou (editor), Eirini Panou (editor), Mary B. Cunningham (editor) Routledge, Birmingham Byzantine and Ottoman Studies 16, 1, 2014
The Memoirs of Sylvester Syropoulos is a text written by a Î’yzantine ecclesiastical official in the 15th century. Syropoulos participated in the Council for the union of the Greek and Latin Churches held in Ferrara and Florence, Italy, in 1438-1439. As a high-ranking official and an eye-witness of the union, he offers a unique perspective on this important political and religious event that would so decisively contribute to the political, military and religious development of Europe at the end of the Middle Ages. Experts in different fields - historians, philologists, art historians and archaeologists - have come together in this volume to explore the actions and motives of the various political and religious groups that participated in the council. With Syropoulos as their starting point, the contributors of this volume reconstruct the living conditions, cross-cultural interaction, artistic and commercial exchange in the 15th-century Mediterranean. At the same time, they discuss the text as an invaluable source for political and diplomatic affairs at that time, as a travel account, an eye-witness narrative and as a literary work. Emphasis is placed on Syropoulos’s Section IV where he describes the journey of the Byzantine delegation from Constantinople to Italy, their stay in Venice and in Ferrara, the diplomatic contacts with the doge and the pope, and finally the beginning of the council’s proceedings. An annotated English translation of the text is included as an appendix to the book. The papers bring out the richness of the information in Syropoulos’s writings about the people involved in the Council of Ferrara-Florence and especially the interaction among different social, religious and political groups throughout that event. His work is unique because it is a rare eye-witness account, deriving from personal experience, rather than an objective historical narrative.

›res Vera, Res Ficta‹: Fictionality in Ancient Epistolography Janja Soldo (editor); Claire Rachel Jackson (editor) de Gruyter GmbH, Walter, Trends in Classics - Supplementary Volumes; 149, 2023
Letters are famously easy to recognise, notoriously hard to define. Both real and fictitious letters can look identical to the point that there are no formal criteria which can distinguish one from the other. This has long been a point of anxiety in scholarship which has considered the value of an ancient letter to be determined by its authenticity, necessitating a strict binary opposition of genuine as opposed to fake letters. This volume challenges this dichotomy directly. Rather than defining epistolary fiction as a literary genre in opposition to ‘genuine’ letters or reducing it down to fixed rhetorical features, it argues that fiction is an inherent and fluid property of letters which ancient writers recognised and exploited. This volume contributes to wider scholarship on ancient fiction by demonstrating through the multiplicity of genres, contexts, and time periods discussed how complex and multifaceted ancient awareness of fictionality was. As such, this volume shows that letters are uniquely well-placed to unsettle disciplinary boundaries of fact and fiction, authentic and spurious, and that this allows for a deeper understanding of how ancient writers conceptualised and manipulated the fictional potential of letters.

The Catholic Church and the Jewish People : Recent Reflections from Rome Philip A. Cunningham (editor); Norbert J. Hoffman (editor); Joseph Sievers (editor) Fordham University Press, Abrahamic Dialogues, New York, NY, 2022
This book makes available in English important essays that mark the fortieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council’s Declaration on the Relationship of the Church to Non-Christian Religions (Nostra Aetate). Surveying Vatican dialogues and documents, the essays explore challenging theological questions posed by the Shoah and the Catholic recognition of the Jewish people’s covenantal life with God. Featuring essays by Vatican officials, leading rabbis, diplomats, and Catholic and Jewish scholars, the book discusses the nature of Christian-Jewish relations and the need to remember their conflicted and often tragic history, aspects of a Christian theology of Judaism, the Catholic-Jewish dialogue since the Shoah, and the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Israel. The book includes an essay by Cardinal Walter Kasper, president of the Pontifical Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews, and documents on the rapprochement between the Church and the Jewish people.

Zuversicht - Die neue Führungskraft: Wie Führung in unsicheren Zeiten gelingt Vera Starker, Katharina Roos Vahlen, Franz, GmbH, Verlag, 2025

Sovereign Immunity Under Pressure : Norms, Values and Interests Régis Bismuth (editor), Vera Rusinova (editor), Vladislav Starzhenetskiy (editor), Geir Ulfstein (editor) Springer International Publishing AG, 1, 2022
This book offers a critical analysis of current challenges and developments of the State immunity regime through three dimensions: it looks at State immunity from a comparative perspective; it discusses the major trends relating to the interplay between State immunity and the protection of human rights as well as counter-terrorism; and it examines the relationship between State immunity and the financial obligations of States. Part I, Sovereign Immunity from a Comparative Perspective: Weak v. Strong Immunity Regimes, deals with the diversity of existing regimes of State immunity at the national level. This part aims to explore different approaches of particular states to sovereign immunity and their general attitude to international law, and attempts to understand why some States favour a weaker State immunity regime by multiplying exceptions or interpreting them broadly, while others continuously support a stronger one and sometimes rely on the doctrine of absolute immunity. Part II, International Customary Law of Sovereign Immunity, Human Rights and Counter-Terrorism, highlights how human rights and counter-terrorism have shaped the law and practice of sovereign immunity. This part specifically discusses the role of national legislators and judges in the development of international law, emerging conflicts between national constitutional norms and the rules of international law concerning State immunity and human rights, and possible ways of their reconciliation. Part III, Sovereign Immunity of States and their Financial Obligations, contributes to on-going debates related to the mixed and complex nature of States' financial obligations. In this part, authors elaborate on perceptions of the underlying public-private law divide, cross influences in public and private international law and their consequences for State immunity, as well as recent trends relating to immunity from execution.-- Provided by publisher

The Struggle of Struggles (Civil Rights in Mississippi Series) Vera Pigee, Françoise N. Hamlin (editor) University Press of Mississippi, Civil Rights in Mississippi Series, New, 2023
From 1955 to 1975, Vera Pigee (1924–2007) put her life and livelihood on the line with grassroots efforts for social change in Mississippi, principally through her years of leadership in Coahoma County’s NAACP. Known as the “Lady of Hats,” coined by NAACP executive secretary Roy Wilkins, Pigee was a businesswoman, mother, and leader. Her book, The Struggle of Struggles , offers a detailed view of the daily grind of organizing for years to open the state’s closed society. Fearless, forthright, and fashionable, Pigee also suffered for her efforts at the hands of white supremacists and those unwilling to accept strong women in leadership. She wrote herself into the histories, confronted misinformation, and self-published one of the first autobiographies from the era. Women like her worked, often without accolade or recognition, in their communities all over the country, but did not document their efforts in this way. The Struggle of Struggles , originally published in 1975, spotlights the gendered and generational tensions within the civil rights movement. It outlines the complexity, frustrations, and snubs, as well as the joy and triumphs that Pigee experienced and witnessed in the quest for a fairer and more equitable nation. This new edition begins with a detailed introductory essay by historian Françoise N. Hamlin, who interviewed Pigee and her daughter in the few years preceding their passing, as well as their coworkers and current activists. In addition to the insightful Introduction, Hamlin has also provided annotations to the original text for clarity and explanation, along with a timeline to guide a new generation of readers.

lgli/Major Complications of Female Pelvic Surgery.epub
Major Complications of Female Pelvic Surgery: A Multidisciplinary Approach Mitchel Hoffman (editor), Tracy L. Hull (editor), Bernard H. Bochner (editor) Springer Cham, 1, 2025
This book gives a multidisciplinary perspective on complications of female pelvic surgery. The confined space of the pelvis precludes a clear separation of the pelvic surgical disciplines, and pelvic surgery is therefore multidisciplinary by nature. This work addresses this overlap by featuring three editors, one from each of the major pelvic surgery disciplines: gynecology, urology, and colorectal surgery. The chapters are broken down into medical, surgical, and procedure-related complications, and address each complication’s background, prevention, recognition, and management. Written by experts in the field, this book is an easy-to-use resource for all surgeons who perform pelvic operations.

Erscheinungsdatum: 20.04.2016

Naturalezza | Simplicité - Natürlichkeit im Musiktheater Vera Grund (editor); Claire Genewein (editor); Hans Georg Nicklaus (editor); Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität (editor) Bielefeld University Press. ein Imprint von Roswitha Gost u. Karin Werner - transcript Verlag, Theater, Theater; 96, 1, 2019
Erscheinungsdatum: 01.05.2019
